On Tuesday March 18, 2014, the World Heart Federation and Heart Foundation of Australia hosted a Heart to Heart. This was an intimate media-briefing event to help raise the profile of secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Australia. It was a media event held as part of the global Champion Advocates Programme which aims to help the World Health Organization reach its goal of a 25% reduction in premature mortality by non-communicable diseases, by 2025 (25by25).
